Now I’ll be the first to tell you that time has flown by but not necessarily because I’ve been having fun. Working odd jobs, freelancing and being in between startups, I feel like the break I took from WordPress theme development now needs a break of it’s own.
So with that being said, it’s time to get back in the saddle and theres no better time than right now… and I really mean that. My apartments empty, the furniture sold, boxes are packed and Im out of here in less than 2 weeks. Im heading back home for a few months before (hopefully) setting off overseas to travel / work and anyone who’s done that will tell you it’s a lot easier if you have a residual income.
Long-term GOAL: $20,000+ month
My best month on themeforest.net was back in February 2014 when I brought in over $22,000 AUD ($19,000 USD at the time). It might be a long shot considering how long I’ve been out of the game, but if you’ve done something before you can absolutely do it again.
Short-term GOAL: Release A new Theme by February
I’ve actually been sitting on a theme for well over a year now that I haven’t released. It’s roughly 80% complete so if I knuckle down once I get back to QLD I should definitely be able to launch it inside of January. Im not expecting massive sales but it should provide the kick in the butt I need / deserve.
So heres to blogging, heres to getting back on the road to self employment and heres to a new year & new lease on life.
